These tubs hold approximately 3500 cwt of potatoes. We cool the potatoes before they go through the washer and are packed.

This is the drum washer. The potatoes are washed in chlorinated water to remove bacteria, while removing dirt with brushes.

After going through the washer, the potatoes go across the felt dryer. With the addition of the optical sorter, we were able to remove the first sorting table.

New to our packing line this year is an Optical Sorter. This automatically sorts potatoes into different lines depending on the potato.

We fill 2000# totes to ship out for repackaging.

Lenz Family Farms packs 5# or 10# bags in our private label or vendor’s bags.

We pack 50 pound cartons of Chefs and A’s.
